Famous photographer Nigel Barker has brought his eye for style to Art Van Home with his global and modern collections of furniture for the living room, dining room, bedroom and outdoors. World travels, taking photographs in exotic locales and his English heritage are the inspiration for his furniture designs. These wonderful collections are exclusive to Art Van Home.
These three extraordinary scents are inspired by Nigel's photography, capturing the energy and infinite possibilities NYC represents. Created with Demeter’s unique approach to fragrance, which is grounded in the wonderful scents surrounding us every day, the first three fragrances from the Nigel Barker Signature Collection are drawn from different aspects of one of the great cities of the world
Times Square is a fragrance of energy and power for women, capturing the atmosphere of the center of The City That Never Sleeps with notes of tuberose and ylang -ylang mixed with earthy tones of patchouli and vetiver.
Wall Street fragrance is intended for men, and is inspired by the money and finance of Wall Street. The composition is a unique blend of vanilla, black peppercorn, herbs and oak moss with prominent intense patchouli and subtle citrus shades.
New York Nights is a unique and extremely sensual fragrance for women that reflects the style and raw power of the city of New York at night. Sexy notes of ylang-ylang and red poppies are mixed with earthy tobacco leaves and sweet and sensual black vanilla, all rounded by powdery coca petals with a touch of cool frost and clean vetiver finish.
Drawing on 20 years of experience in the beauty business, 17 seasons of judging on America’s Next Top Model, hosting The Face, photographer I believe I have discovered the formula for revealing inner beauty that will have readers looking great and feeling even better.
Casting aside conventional rules (be tall! be skinny! have flawless skin!) I share the elements that, when added together, equal true beauty: humor, honesty, and confidence, to name a few. Armed with their own cameras, readers are guided through a series of self-portrait challenges. Along the way, I share tips and advice on fashion, style, hair, and make-up, showing readers how to turn perceived negatives into positives, celebrate their uniqueness, and be their personal best.

In Models of Influence, I profile fifty of the most influential models from the 1940s to the present, revealing how their look or way of modeling not only made an indelible stamp on the industry but also influenced fashion design, the popular way of dress, and notions of female beauty worldwide.
Each of the book’s eight chapters focuses on a distinct era, from the postwar modeling boom that ushered in an era of models who communicated a return to glamour to the present day, with the emergence of media-savvy models who understand the power of branding themselves to the world at large. Each entry highlights the model’s background and career, exploring her unique qualities and the secret to her staying power, whether it’s her physical characteristics, daring approach to image making, transformative abilities, or a particular energy that captured or even redefined the zeitgeist of fashion and culture of the time.
I personally selected more than two hundred full-color and black-and-white photographs from the archives of the world’s top fashion photographers—Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, David Bailey, Francesco Scavullo, Herb Ritts, and Mario Testino among them and a few of mine... to assemble a collectible anthology of many of the finest fashion images from the last seventy years.
With an engaging, informative text and a vivid collection of seminal fashion photographs, Models of Influence is the book I am most proud of, I hope you'll enjoy it too!
