Global Fashion Awards 2010

Last night the fashion elite gathered at New York’s glamorous Waldorf Astoria for the Global Fashion Awards 2010, where the winners of the prestigious awards were announced by yours truly. With the shortlist boasting respected global brands, internationally renowned retailers and exciting up-and-coming talent from around the world, the 2010 Winners List is a veritable roll-call of industry greats.
Hosted by WGSN, the world’s leading style and trend forecaster, the Awards were the first of their kind to honor style and innovation in the fashion industry on a global platform. The ceremony was a truly star-studded affair, with Harold Tillman (Chairman of the British Fashion Council), Iris Apfel, Dolly Jones (Editor of Vogue.com), Kevin Carrigan (Global Creative Director, Calvin Klein), Sally Scott and many other industry elite all in attendance. The celebrations continued late into the night, with guests enjoying an exclusive after-party at New York nightlife hotspot, Boutique Eat Shop.
A 60-strong panel of esteemed industry judges helped to select the winners of the Global Fashion Awards – an outstanding accolade. Winners took home the bespoke Waterford Crystal Global Fashion Awards trophy, designed by international fashion icon John Rocha.
A fabulous evening was had by all – FYI I was dressed Ted To Toe (Ted Baker Tux in Grape) and Crissy who looked so stunning she virtually put me off my job hosting as I was speechless staring at her, was wearing a Pamella Roland gown – what else!!
