Runway Relief… Good Grief!

Yesterday was one of those days I’ll never forget. Not because it was almost 96 degrees in the shade… or that I was shooting 40 top models… or that we had taken over an entire city block in the MPD of NYC… or that we had 12 hair and make up artists and an army of production assistants and supporters… Yesterday was extra special because of the cause we were all out to support: Fashion Targets Breast Cancer – An extremely worthy cause poignant in female-led industry, although few know that men too can suffer from Breast Cancer. Models Coco Rochas, Jessica White, Michelle Alves were three out of an incredible 40 lovely (role) models, who strutted in their Modelinia boots designed and donated by Nine West. The boots, which all have an Omron Pedometer in them, actually count the number of steps each girl takes. The idea being that for every step the wearer takes, a dollar amount will be donated by the Jones Apparel Group. The models can also be sponsored by yours truly, all you need to do is go to www.modelinia.com to pick your girl. You can also follow the girls’ every step during fashion week via their Sony Bloggies, which they were gifted with. My photos from the shoot will appear as advertising in Nine West Stores and in the press just in time for the launch of NYC Fashion Week. So look out for it! And please, if you can donate even a dollar, please do. And if not, then do yourself a favor and become educated about Breast Cancer and how to detect it early.
