Blossoming Beauties – A Casting Call
Posted on May 24, 2010 - Filed Under Blossoming Beauties, Nigel Barker Today, Photography, Studio NB

Many of you are probably aware of my Blossoming Beauty book that I’ve been shooting for over a year now. For those who need a recap-When my wife Crissy was pregnant with our son Jack, I was completely captivated and fascinated by the transformation her body underwent as she blossomed! It was so beautiful that I embarked on a new venture, “Blossoming Beauties.” Over the past year or so, I have photographed women at the height of their pregnancies, capturing the awe and beauty that is the pregnant female form. I am still working on this exciting project, having photographed over 50 women now. I plan to eventually use the images in a photography book also entitled “Blossoming Beauties.”
If you or anyone you know is currently pregnant and would like to be photographed for this project, please get in touch with my studio manager, Ali Azios at Ali@studionb.com, or my project coordinator James Freni at James@studionb.com. Please be sure to submit your contact information as well as a recent photograph of yourself. We are looking for candidates from all walks of life and any demographic. All photo sessions will be on a “closed set,” and you can be as revealing or un-revealing in your nudity as you feel comfortable with. Check out images from my previous shoots in the gallery below. We will do everything possible to make you feel comfortable on set. The photos will be lightly retouched only to reveal your natural beauty and remove elements that are not always there (blemishes, etc.). We will also ask you to fill out a very short questionnaire about yourself and what the experience of being pregnant has meant to you………?
Please feel free to pass this on to other expecting Moms… and thank you!

Mr. Barker I just want to say your art style is unbelievable. I am trying to become a professional photographer and you aspire me. I’m coming from nothing trying to touch others with my work as you do with yours. Thanks for being a inspiration.
