Thank you, Lawrence Middle School!

I recently received a letter from Brent Smiley, a social studies teacher at Lawrence Middle School, notifying me that I have been selected as an honored invitee to his student’s annual dinner party in California. Brent assigned his students to identify eight people that they would most like to spend an evening with, and I am beyond flattered to be one of the eight chosen. His student, Jennifer Maldonado, personally wrote me an endearing letter that I am grateful to have received. Jennifer knew so much about my career and my life. She even mentioned my soon-to-be released book, “Nigel Barker’s Beauty Equation.” Only in eighth grade, I can tell that Jennifer possesses many of the attributes I believe make a person beautiful. I’d like to thank Jennifer and encourage her to follow her dreams… whether it be a psychologist in Los Angeles as said in her letter, or a new dream discovered as her life unfolds. Ambition is one of the many components that truly makes one beautiful. Thank you again, Jennifer, Brent and Lawrence Middle School.
