Solving Kid’s Cancer

Posted on March 10, 2010 - Filed Under Charity

Cancer has affected all of us in one way or another. Obviously in children, the disease is absolutely heart breaking. For this reason, I would like to introduce you to Solving Kid’s Cancer, a New York City nonprofit organization. On May 12th, 2010, SKC will be holding its Spring Celebration Event in the Powerhouse at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. The event is devoted to celebrating life and the commitment to solving pediatric cancer. Guests will be invited to a cocktail reception and buffet dinner hosted by myself and other committee members. There, they will enjoy a special performance and be offered the unique opportunity to sponsor a therapeutic trial for a child with cancer. Sadly, cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children in the US. SKC exists to identify, fund and manage innovative therapies for children with the deadliest of pediatric cancers. In less than two years, Solving Kid’s Cancer has identified (and is now funding) multiple therapeutic development projects in treatment of this disease. So wonderful to see you support SKC. Thank you for stepping up to help these children and their parents who all deserve the right to hope. This is what spring is all about!
