There are few things in life as therapeutic, as healing, as relaxing, as invigorating as a fabulous massage. I travel a lot and as a result find myself on a constant quest for a good spa or hotel massage all over the world. My mother was amongst other things (Miss Sri Lanka, a singer, great Mom, blah blah blah….) was a masseuse, so I grew up with having reflexology treatments and Indian head massages etc. In fact my older sister is a therapist working in the UK. Ok so I’ll get to the point – there are massages and then there are massages. Some people just get it – the therapists are intuitive, educated in how the body functions and open minded to realize that like no other medium the body reacts to a whole host of therapies. Thai massage, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu etc., etc. Well, for the past year my wife and I have been visiting a certain masseuse called Elisa Henrickson who is extraordinary.
