The Art of Beauty

Make Up has been worn by men and women for millennia. Whether for
tribal, ceremonial, battle or cosmetic reasons the art of make up has
helped define the look and feel of history. Artists have adorned
their heroes and painted their ladies setting trends and making
fashion statements. In our story “The Art of Beauty” we have girls
from all ethnicities – Chinese, African, Russian, Indian, American
and European. They are have been photographed as “blank canvas’ ” and
then again as “works of art”. The inspiration for this set of
portraits was drawn from such artists as Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt,
Andy Wharhol, Mucha, Toulouse-Lautrec and Tong Zhengang.
Personally I have always liked to push the boundries and was
fascinated with the transformations of the models. As they say,
“beauty is in the eye of the beholder” just beware of what lies beneath!
